The Criminal Investigation Department (DCI) has revealed a new statement about the controversial death of the late Catholic Church, John Maina.

Patriarch from Igwamiti parish in Nyahururu welcomed the former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua On the parish family day just three weeks before his sudden death.
In a statement published on social networks on Tuesday, May 20, the investigative unit said there were allegations that the Patriarch had expressed concern about his safety.
However, they added that the priest had never reported any threat to any police station, and an investigation into the matter was ongoing.
“Detectives are investigating that Patriarch Maina claimed his life was in danger, although he had never reported it to any police station,” read part of the statement of DCI.
Patriarch Maina was found along the Nakuru-Nairobi highway and a good Samaritan who was a motorcyclist. He had injuries to the left of his head and told the driver that he had been kidnapped in Nyahururu.
“The driver of the boda boda took Patriarch Maina to St. Joseph’s Mission Hospital in Gilgil. When he arrived, he showed open injuries, including injuries to the left of the blood -bleeding head. Despite medical efforts, Dr Maina died a few minutes after being admitted. DCI added.

DCI also confirmed that the late Patriarch was monitored by people who wanted a portion of the money he was reported to be given after leading the Jubilee Jubilee celebration attended by Gachagua.

How did Dr. John Maina die?
A bodies of the priest from the Catholic parish of Nyahururu revealed that he died from numerous shooting injuries. A surgical report showed that one bullet went into the head and damaged the skull.

State Doctor Titus Ngulungu conducted the investigation into the Mochari Catholic Hospital of Pope Benedict.
During the surgery, a close relative of the family, the chief administrator of the Diocese of Nyahururu Patriarch Timothy Maina, along with ten other priests were present.
In addition to the complexity of the case, Ngulungu refused to comment on the media, citing the church’s strict instructions prohibiting the report.
