Speaking on Monday, May 19, Gachagua claimed that at 2:30 pm on Sunday, May 18, his team received intelligence information from some security officials indicating that there was an ongoing plan to trap weapons on his caravan.

According to Gachagua, 30 minutes after the initial alert, another group allegedly with people trained by biological agents joined the operation.

Kalenjin elders want to choose to apologize
