Why did Alice Wahome criticize the ODM party leader

The veteran opposition leader has been firmly denied the allegations that his Orange Party (ODM) is part of the government Kenya firstdespite signing a compromise agreement (MoU) with President Ruto.

Speaking in Kiambu County on Monday, May 19, Land Minister Alice Wahome accused the ODM leader of having two levels in his relationship with the Kenyan government first.

Home suggested that ODM leaders who refuse to be part of the rule of Ruto They are confused because it is their first time being in government.

“Our friends we have joined for forming a broad national government, some of them are confused because they have never been in government. This is their first time, and it is just because President William Ruto has agreed to share power and opposition. Wahome said.

Wahome emphasized that according to the current plan, the Raila party and other parties cooperating with the Kenyan Union are first part of the national government.

“I say ODM, UDA And other parties associated with Kenya are first in a broad national government, and it is not appropriate for ODM now to say they are not in government; That cannot be understood, ” The Minister of Land added.

Does Raila Odinga plan on the 2027 election?

The Wahome’s statement comes with the divisions arising within the ODM party over Raila’s agreement with President William Ruto.

On Saturday, May 17, Raila raised rumors about having a secret strategy towards the 2027 elections after publicly separating himself from his allies, including his brother Oburu Odinga, about the details of his contract with Ruto.

The former prime minister denied the allegations – including his brother – that ODM is part of the government.

Despite signing an agreement with Ruto in March, many expected Raila to support the current government.

However, sources suggest that the veteran politician is probably playing a high political game, with a secret card that could change the political direction in the country.

Political analysts believe that such a secret card can be overweight in determining the outcome of the 2027 election.
