In an emotional message published by Adede Owalla Derep-Ruoth, a man who asked to remain anonymous reported how he met his wife in 2018.
How he met his future wife
He revealed that at the time, he was working as a service provider for a customer company where the woman was working in the finance department.
Their professional relationship turned into romantic and eventually began to marry and get married in early 2021.
Their marriage was legalized for a cultural ceremony in August 2023, which he paid alone using approximately KSh 780,000 from his savings.
When they met, the woman was already the mother of a young child.
According to the businessman, the woman told her that the baby’s father was a drug user and had been mentally affected.
“I accepted a child like mine, with all my heart,” he said. “I have done everything the father should do – emotionally, financially, everything.”
For many years, he says he has struggled with the situation and property to help his wife and family, including hiring her in her electronic equipment business since 2022.
He also paid a university fee at the University of Nairobi while improving education from diploma to accounting degree.
