Hanging onto hope, here is how Gor Mahia can still lift the FKF Premier League title despite Kenya Police needing one win from two matches to be crowned.
Gor Mahia all but handed the FKF Premier League title to Kenya Police following their goalless draw away to Murang’a Seal on Sunday.
K’Ogalo headed to Murang’a knowing anything other than three points would be catastrophic in the grand scheme of things but still failed to deliver as they were foiled by their hosts.
With Tusker FC getting a whipping from Sofapaka, shockingly losing 7-1, and Kenya Police beating FC Talanta 1-0 also on Sunday, K’Ogalo have handed the initiative to the law enforcers.

Gor Mahia were held by a resilient Murang’a Seal side in a tense FKF Premier League clash on Sunday afternoon.
After the conclusion of this weekend’s matches, Police are top of the table with 61 points, Tusker second with 55 while Gor Mahia are in third position with 54 points.
Police and Tusker have two games two go while Gor Mahia have three but now, it is a two-horse race as the brewers have dropped out of contention, following their big loss to Sofapaka.
However, Police can all but win their first-ever league title if they beat Shabana FC in their penultimate round of matches on June 14 as that would push them to an unassailable 64 points given Gor Mahia can only manage a maximum of 63 if they win their remaining three games.

Tusker were absolutely humiliated by Sofapaka, appearing to give up on the league title like their counterparts Gor Mahia, with Kenya Police winning to edge even closer to making history,.
How Can Gor Mahia Steal the Title from Kenya Police?
)
Given what has been witnessed so far this season, however, it would not be wise to start counting the chickens before they hatch for Police as there are scenarios that could still hand Gor Mahia the title.
Gor Mahia’s three remaining matches are against Ulinzi Stars, AFC Leopards and Police and they have to win all while hoping that the law enforcers fail to beat Shabana in their next match.
A draw for Police against Shabana, still possible given Tore Bobe’s form and the law enforcers’ unpredictability, would leave them on 62 points and if Gor win against both Leopards and Ulinzi, it would take them to 60 ahead of the season finale.

Harambee Stars coach Benni McCarthy has opened up about his management style that he feels can bring success if players stick by them.
It would mean a win for K’Ogalo against Police on the final day would secure what now appears an unlikely 22nd league title with 63 points.
A lot of ifs, but still very possible scenarios given what has been witnessed in this season’s FKF Premier League title race.
