Gachagua explained that any issues related to the retired, positive or negative, require direct approval of the incumbent President.
According to him, the withdrawal of security officers from independence, including guards sent by Mama Ngina, was approved by the President William Ruto Himself, not with any other officer.
“Many things have been talked about and it is important to keep it on the record. Well. That any issue concerning the retired President, be positive or negative, can only be done by the full power of the current President. No one else can approve anything of the retired President outside the President.

Did Ruto fulfill his promises freely
Gachagua recounted one incident in which Ruto visited Independence in his Northlands farm.
The visit came after Ruto invited Independence to the White House, a meeting in which the former president refused, instead urged Ruto to come to his farm.

Gachagua also criticized Ruto for being behind various attempts to undermine the influence of freedom within the Jubilee Party.
He claimed that the cases aimed at undermining the Jubilee’s holding and ousted independence were funded by Ruto, efforts that, according to Gachagua, continue to this day despite the promises made to stop the intervention.
“When he went to see President Uhuru Kenyatta in Ichaweri, he promised to cease to enter the Jubilee, but he still intervenes,” Gachagua said.
He also revealed that the promises made regarding the payment of employees’ fees and freedom guards have not yet been implemented to this day.
