Charlene has plunged into mourning following the death of Cecilia Kiogora, a woman who regarded her as a second mother. Cecilia directed and raised Charlene wisely.
Charlene stood up with the Kiogoro family during the farewell to their beloved mother.
Tears, prayers and condolences from those who knew Cecilia – a woman praised for her unstable faith and her compassion – dominated this period of sadness.
The daughter of the President, who has been at the forefront of learning sign language and helping the deaf community, expressed her sadness and gratitude through social networks for how Cecilia affected the lives of the people she approached.

“This week we stood with our father and guardian, Dr Norman Kiogora, Director of Kise, and his family were leaving the beloved Mama Cecilia Kiogora.”

Charlene referred to Cecilia as a woman of Proverbs 31, known for her courage, wisdom and dedication – her life was a symbol of compassion and faith.
“Although we did not get a chance to meet him face -to -face, stories from the Kiajayi and Membley Baptist community show that he was a perfect example of a woman of Proverbs 31. His soul rest in eternal peace,” he added.
