This came to light as chaos broke out during the official launch of the DCP in Lavington, Nairobi.
On Thursday, May 15, Gachagua and a group of close allies gathered at the DCP headquarters to launch the expected political party.
During the early counsel, Gachagua and other senior party officials involved supporters in open debates and explained the vision of the DCP, the party they said was based on justice, public service, and local empowerment.
However, the situation took a huge stream shortly after the procedures.
Did the hooligans disrupt the launch of the new Gachagua party?
According to videos seen by TUKO.co.ke, a group of unknown people believed to be hired hooligans invaded the venue, and threatened the event and sparked controversy.
The sudden invasion forced officials and foreigners to struggle to find security as the dynamics and strife broke out in the barracks.
In one video clip, a man wearing a casual outfit, believed to be part of Gachagua’s security, is seen shooting at the air in an attempt to disperse the angry crowd.
The region shows people seeking asylum despite the tension, while law enforcementists strive to restore stability.

Who are the leaders of the new Gacita party?
At the launch, Gachagua mentioned several temporary officials to lead the new party, with former Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala being appointed deputy party leader.
Former Meru Senator and former Minister of Agriculture Mithika Linturi was appointed national secretary, while Cate Waruguru, a former Laikipia women’s representative, will serve as a national women’s leader.
Additional temporary responsibilities were filled by Hezron Obatha as Secretary -General, Martil Ole Kamwaro as Deputy Secretary -General, Hannah Mutua as the National Treasurer, and Wanjra Njoka as Deputy Treasurer.
Interestingly, no current elected officials were included in the temporary leadership ranks.

What did Moses Kuria say about the new Gachagua party?
A few hours before the official launch of the DCP, Moses Kuria He sparked a debate online for a post that seemed to ridicule the new outfit.
Sharing his ideas on X (formerly Twitter), Kuria gave the party a confusing nickname, calling it “District Heads Association”.
Despite the obvious drilling, Kuria also pointed to support the political differences and multi -party democracy. He mentioned his participation in the previous democratic struggle and expressed support for the idea of having a lot of political voices in Kenya.
