On Monday, May 12, Advocate Danstan Omari He told High Court judge Alexender Muteti that his client was interested in attending Were’s funeral.

According to Omari, in African culture, the funeral does not end in one day, and his client intends to go and pray for the spirit of Were once the investigation against him is completed.

“In Africa, the funeral does not end in one day. The applicant (Aroko) is a public man and is interested in attending the funeral of the late MP, though he is buried,” Omari said.

“Honorable, my client was interested in attending the funeral but since the MP is already buried, he wants to go and interact with his people in Kasipul as he will be seeking to be their MP,” Omari said.

Omari said Aroko wants to be a Kasipul MP ​​and would like to visit the area to interact with residents when detectives DCI When they complete their investigation.

“He intends to interact with the people of Kasipul. He wants to be a legislator so that he can enact laws that strengthen the Criminal Investigation Directorate,” Omari added.

Why Philip Aroko removed the case against the police

In another case, Arocho removed his case in court where he accused the police of illegally detaining him.

Earlier, the Kasipul politician claimed that his constitutional right was violated, but during a hearing in Muteti in the Mountains Court, he dismissed the request.

Aroko, who is linked to the murder of the Kasipul MP, submitted the request through his lawyers team.

The request had asked the police to be forced to present him to court, “dead or alive,” due to concerns about where he was arrested.

Following the situation, Arocho was later brought before a judge in the Jomo Kenyatta International Court (JKIA), who ordered him to be detained for seven days.
