In a statement on Monday, May 12, Kindiki referred to the reports as a ‘despair, bad and the worst,’ explaining that his pronunciation was not directed to CS Ruku, who referred to him as a long -time friend, but former leaders from the same area.
“Lies are cheap,” Kindiki said. “My discussion remarks to the former cabinet secretary from the same area and other former leaders who expressed such behavior. It was intended to prove that governments around the world are working on the principle of collective responsibility.”
The deputy president emphasized that if a person became part of the government, he is obliged to comply with his policies, decisions and actions.
He added that government officials should use their positions to push for development, not to criticize the administration they serve.
“Pretending ‘clever’ by undermining the government that you are in the top is illegal and against the people. Kindiki said.
What did Kithure Kindiki say about criticizing the government?
The explanation comes after the preliminary remarks were interpreted by many as publicly criticizing CS Ruku, who asked for priority for infrastructure projects stuck in the Siakago parliament.
In those remarks that have now been dismissed, Kindiki seems to urge the minister to embrace his new role with the weight he claims and stops publicly complaining about government projects.
“My younger brother Ruku, the flag is a symbol of honor-to do it with a decent respect. Not a piece of cloth,” Kindiki said, referring to the official flag flying by the Cabinet secretaries.
“Honor the flag, defend the government, inform the people what the administration has done, and push for what is not yet complete. That’s why you are in government.”
Kindiki seems to criticize Ruku for choosing to make a public argument, rather than using his position to defend action within government structures.

The Deputy President noted that as a secretary of the Cabinet, one should no longer have the behavior of a regular citizen or a former MP, but to help the public understand the state of government plans and strive to solve any challenges.
He emphasized that ministers are expected to push for development internally, and not to stimulate public dissatisfaction.
Additionally, Kindiki added that if a person wants to complain instead of serving properly, he or she should consider setting himself apart.
