Kenyan digital content creator Ivy Wamahiga has taken a firm stand against Morara Kebaso and Kasmuel McOure, accusing them of mocking ordinary Kenyans in the wake of their newly announced 2027 presidential coalition.
This comes after a video surfaced online showing the two laughing at comments made by Kenyans on social media, which Ivy says were filled with insults and public frustration.
In a passionate video posted on Monday, May 12, 2025, Wamahiga criticised the two for dismissing Kenyans’ suffering and aligning themselves with the political elite.
“They are apparently laughing at comments, and those comments are just full of insults,” she said.
“They are clearly fake laughing and making themselves feel better.”

Wamahiga drew parallels between the pair and political leaders who, she said, routinely belittle public concerns.
“Politicians think we are dumb. People are being murdered, abducted… and you’re laughing with them?” she posed.
She also referenced recent incidents of brutality and impunity in Kenya, challenging the two to consider how they would react if tragedy struck their own families.
“If your wife or mother was murdered, would you be laughing with the government?” she asked.
Public response
The backlash follows Morara’s announcement of a political partnership with Kasmuel McOure ahead of the 2027 general elections. In his remarks, Morara had urged Kenyans to “forgive” Kasmuel, who has previously faced criticism online.
Ivy, however, interpreted the coalition and subsequent behaviour as a betrayal of Gen Z values.
“We have completely lost the sense of empathy as Kenyans. Just stop,” she said.
Wamahiga’s comments have since sparked fresh debate about authenticity in leadership and how youth influencers engage with their audience during politically charged moments.
