On Sunday, May 4, a presidential summit in Kehancha was temporarily interrupted after a man left the national leader in a case of a debate in the country.

Talking to NTVthe family of Paul Mutongori, one of three men arrested for the shoe attack, apologized from the government on behalf of their child, who is still in custody.

His mother spoke bitterly saying he had given his son a great deal of discipline and added that the incident made him shocked and scared because Paul was still in police custody.

“I asked one of the young men here about my son, I knew he had been arrested. I was shocked because I had always punished my children,” the frustrated mother said.

In his urge to the President, he said: “I urge the President to forgive him as the father forgives the son who offends him,” he said.

The family referred to the accused as a quiet person who was not controversial and respectful in the community.

“Even if you ask around, they will tell you he has respect for everyone in the community,” the family member said.

Another family member said they hope the investigation will defend their child.

“I hope they will realize that he is not the one who threw the shoe.

This comes a day after Dennis Itumbi published the video, indicating that the shoe that the president was made was a ‘bad joke’.

The video shows that one man raised a shoe up and was blocking other people’s views while the President was addressing the crowd.

Looking as though he was confused, the person behind him hit the shoe, and for what seemed to be Luck Worse, it landed on the President’s hand as he spoke.

It passed through his face, and without slipping, Ruto continued his speech. Three men, among them Paul, were arrested one day.
