MPs poured into Lee Funeral Home’s mortuary to see the body of the killed MP.

Speaker Moses Wetang’ula led MPs to the session and looked at Were’s body.

His two wives and their children were also present, and later gathered at their home in Karen after seeing the body.

Margaret, a great wife of Were, welcomed the politicians to their home.

She explained that she was touched by how they received support and comfort from her husband’s political friends.

Were’s first wife wondered if her husband had ever had such assistance to them when they were sad.

“I just want to welcome you to our home. As you have heard, I am Margaret Were Nyarlango and I come from Bomet. There’s not much we can tell. I was wondering, all that you did for us, did Charles ever do to you when you were sad? You have done something great, thank you very much, ” He said.

Margaret said that the MP had left young children who would want help to continue their education and find employment.

“If we come to you please welcome us, you see he has left a young family. There are children still needing to continue school. Some need jobs. When we come to you, give him a chance. Let Charles rest in peace,” He said.

The young wife, Anne, thanked the politicians for visiting and comforting them.

“Thank you for coming to comfort us, God bless you. We were disappointed, but now because of you we feel that we are people,”He said.

Earlier, Margaret revealed that two unknown people followed him from work.

Speaking at his home in Kasipul in front of the governor of Homa Bay, Gladys starchhe said his life is in danger and he does not feel safe.

What happened to him?

The MP was killed on April 30 in Nairobi and was announced that he was dead when he was taken to Nairobi hospital despite his driver’s efforts and security guard to hospital.

The attacker got down from a motorcycle and shot him closely when his car stopped at Ngong Road leading lights.

Prior to his death, Were had expressed fears over his security, citing the growing state of unconsciousness in his parliament and hostility during public events.

Four suspects, including a police officer, were arrested following an investigation into the murder.

Opposition leader Raila Odinga He condemned the killings with President William Ruto ordering a thorough investigation, which has increased political excitement in Kenya.

Were’s funeral is scheduled for Friday, May 9, 2025, in his village of Kasipul.
