Four filmmakers arrested on Friday night, May 3, in connection with the controversial blood of the Blood Blood have been allowed to be released on free bail.

Why did 4 Nairobi filmmakers be charged?
Nicholas Gichuki, Brian Adagala, Mark Karubiu, and Chris Wamae, who participated in the film, were detained for falsely published but were not formally charged.
Although the filmmakers are free to go, they will leave detention without their equipment.
During the raid at Karen’s studio where filmmakers were working, police seized a hard drive along with various preparation equipment.
Advocate Lsk Ian Mutiso said the legal team is working tirelessly to protect their rights, noting that much effort behind the curtain was made to release them.
The four were detained at Muthaiga and Pangani police stations before being released.
