According to police reports, the MP was killed in a shooting on Wednesday evening, April 30, while inside his car in a traffic jam along the Ngong road near City Mortuary in Nairobi.

Witnesses said two people on a motorcycle approached his car and fired a shot before escaping.

The purpose of the killings is still unknown, and investigations are ongoing.

While his body is stored in Lee’s mortuary, family members, political leaders, and residents of Kasipul have been pouring into his home in Homa Bay County to mourn and comfort his loved ones.

A quiet housing view of Ongo Were

Photos seen by TUKO.co.ke give Kenyans a rare opportunity to see the luxurious residence of the late MP in Kasipul, where mourners have gathered in abundance.

The two -storey house is built in the middle of the green theme, as a symbol of the MP’s success and his love for his parliament.

The house is painted light, and its roof is embedded in delicate tiles with the garage door signifying the presence of a large parking space inside.

Its field is well cared for, trees are planted on the edges and well -cut grass providing a quiet environment.

In those pictures, lines of white and blue plastic chairs are arranged in the front field, filled with mourners with sad faces – friends, family, and residents who came to pay their last respects.

Speaking following the tragic incident, Gogo revealed that Were had reported receiving threats to kill DCI before being killed.
