Nairobi, Kenya – A young girl by the name of Blessing Gatwiri is asking for help from the public so that she can find her parent, Purity Nkatha, who left at the age of one month.

Blessing Gatwiri, a 14 -year -old girl from Meru, traveled alone to Nairobi in hopes of finding her adoptive mother, Purity Nkatha, who left her when she was just a month old.

Blessing, a student at Muthiru Primary School, was given KSh 700 by his father for the trip.

With the only phone number given to him by his aunt, he hopes that anyone in the city can recognize or know his mother.

At present, he is in the Kiamumbi police station near the West Coffee, seeking help to find his mother.

Blessing has stated that he does not want to return to his father, claiming he is an alcoholic and often tortures him.

Muthoni Kariuki, a good Samaritan who found him roaming the streets, took him to the police station to ensure his safety.

Muthoni calls on anyone who knows Purity Nkatha or his family to assist in reuniting them.

News of the nerve bolds have caused different emotions online. Some blame his father for allowing him to travel alone, while others are sympathetic to the young girl.

For example, Mercyline Chelagat said, “If he doesn’t find his mother, please, I need to raise him. I don’t like to see girls suffer.”

Eric Korir added, “It is best to stay with his father, even if it is bad, because the mother who left her will still leave her again.”

At present, Blessing needs public assistance to achieve his goal of finding his mother and finding a safe living environment.

Happy after a lost Nairobi girl found alive after 3 days

Meanwhile, a 13 -year -old girl named Faith Precious Ayiemba, popularly known as Fei, has been found safe after three days’ disappearance in Nairobi.

The girl disappeared on the evening of April 27, 2025, from their residence in the Westlands, School Lane.

One of the family relatives told TUKO.co.ke that Faith was found in a stable zone always, in the parliamentary area of Embakasi South, thus ending the suffering of his family.
