Two months ago, the late Kasipul MP Charles Ong’ongo Were complained that his life was in danger, and he did not worry about the evening of Wednesday evening, April 30.

Speaking to reporters at the time, the MP expressed his concern about the escalation of violence and chaos in his parliament.
He mentioned the violence as being caused by foreign force, claiming that non -residents of the area were bringing violence to public meetings.
One of the tragic events he emphasized last week in the Nyapindo East Kamagak ward, where the gang of the hooligans disrupted the funeral service.

He narrated a tragic incident that occurred a few days before, when he went to the funeral of God Nyango and found the road closed, which prevented him from passing.

The situation worsened when he went to another funeral the following day, where he encountered a direct threat.
“One of the most prominent criminals said I would not speak there, even before the application began. The villagers were very angry. What happened was under investigation by the relevant agencies,”Said Ong’ongo.

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) and various MPs have expressed his condolences and shocks following the tragic killing of Ongho.
The party confirmed that the MP was killed shortly after leaving parliament, and asked police to investigate the incident and arrest the perpetrators.
ODM explained that Were spent his entire day participating in Parliament before leaving at 12:00 pm.
Several politicians, including Saboti MP Caleb Amisi and Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale, used social media to mourn the MP.
Amisi said he met Were in parliament the same day, with Khalwale writing that the incident was “very sad” and sent condolences to family and friends of the deceased.
