The incident caused a temporary interruption on the busy road as the damaged bus remained unstable.

A traffic officer at the scene worked to disperse the assembled people, warning them of the risk of fire to burn again due to the tires that could easily keep the fire.

The company that owns the bus has not yet provided official information about the incident, and the source of the fire has not been identified.

The fire occurred just one day after another Guardian Angel bus, traveling from Nairobi to Kisii, involved in a separate accident that left more than 20 passengers with minor injuries.
