The death announcement issued by the institute confirmed that Brian Otwisa Wambani was found dead in his room on April 27 at 12:00 pm.
“It is sadly we announce the sudden death of Brian Otwisa Wambani, Reg. It read part of the notice.
Leunita Makutsa Makila, a university official in charge of student affairs, confirmed in a notice that the boy’s body was transferred to the Bungoma County referral mortuary.
“The deceased was found dead in his hostel at the Dominion Area – Tuti Zone. He was the son of Elder Aggrey Wakhunga Wambani and Mama Metrine Nafula Wambani.”
Makila also noted that Wambani came from Kharanda village, Sidikho area, Navakholo parliament in Kakamega County. The funeral date will be notified later.

What happened to Brian Wambani?
Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Secretary -General of the University of the University of the Prophet Joseph Ayugi said that the body’s body was discovered by a hostel guard, who questioned after seeing his door open.
“Wambani was last seen with clothes at 8 o’clock in the afternoon, when the guard went to light the lights, he realized that the door was open despite the rain before. Ayugi explained.
The security guard immediately informed the security team, which also reported to university and police officials.
Police officers inspected the scene and moved the body. The investigation is ongoing, and the cause of death is still unknown.
