The believers, associated with Melkio St Joseph Missions of Messaiha Africa Church, have now spent two consecutive nights at the Rongo Police Station.

Why was the Rongo church invaded

This comes after an invasion of the deaths of two believers reportedly refusing treatment as a result of the church’s teaching.

Migori County Commissioner Mutua Kisilu revealed that the registration of the church was unusual, as it was presented as a company rather than a religious institution.

“We have found that the church was registered as a company,” He said Kisilu, adding that the center was still under police protection while the investigation was underway.

Despite the constant efforts of the family and authorities to unite the rescued people, the 57 still hold on to the position of staying together, rejecting any assistance or medical examination.

The members refused to leave the church

The refusal of rescued participants to leave under police protection has raised concerns between local and family government.

John Ogeno Agutu, a resident, told Citizen Digital that one of his sons was among the believers at the police station, and refused to return home.

“There are four other residents who have never been seen since joining this church,” Agutu said.

Parents from Homa Bay have arrived in Rongo, hoping to join their lost loved ones.

Have the police arrested the leaders of the Migori church?

One of them known as Grace Odungo revealed that she had come to the center to find her missing child, who suspects is among the members.

Eight children have been removed from the group and transferred to rescue centers.

“We have agreed with the Children’s Department to be saved,” Kisilu confirmed.

Authority also investigates the deaths of the two members, which is reportedly occurring within the church area.

No one was arrested, but Kisilu said police are following guidelines, including possible relationships with worship acts.

“We extend the search and explore the possible organs of worship,” He said.

When the church is closed by many police around its buildings, the community remains on the edge, compared to the ancient disasters of worship.

Former church member exposes strange things

Meanwhile, Francis Odongo Asewe, a former member of the Melkio St Joseph Missions of Messiah Africa Church, shared controversial knowledge about the church’s inner performance.
