In an attempt to prevent the involvement of public officials of “identified” information, the government has applied official law.
The move is aimed at former Public Service Minister Justin Muturi and former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, who have been exposing the government.
Having come before the National Assembly Committee on Administration and Internal Affairs, Interior Minister Kipchumba Murkomen warned that those who disclose government secret information can be taken legal action under formal secret law.

Murkomen stressed that current and former public officials are not allowed to disclose confidential information with the promise of confidentiality they take.
