How was it for Okoth Obado after his wife knew about Sharon Otieno

While in a Nairobi court on Wednesday, April 23, Obado revealed that he felt sad when his family received information about courtship with Sharon.

Obado told the court that he appeared and took responsibility while Sharon was pregnant.

He said he was spending money for him and even had the procedure to provide him with medical insurance.

Obado said that he opened to his wife about the illegal courtship and apologized for it, and even intended to end it.

He told the court that, after knowing about the relationship, his wife suggested Sharon be given one of the family -owned houses, but Obado opposed the idea.

However, Sharon had used delegates to inform the former county chief that he wanted the house to be Kisumu Or Nairobi.

How Okoth Obado volunteered to help Sharon Otieno

Obado rejected both proposals, instead offered to build a new home worth Ksh 3 million in Homa Bay.

A piece of land was finally bought the construction of the house was to begin; In the meantime, Sharon would live in the planning house before moving to her new residence after completion.

The governor revealed to the court that he was ready to take care of the late child.

Obado and his fellow defendants were found guilty of murder in January this year.

The accused with him are his personal assistant during the murder of Sharon, Michael Oyamo, and former Migori County employee Caspal Obiero.

Judge Cecilia Guthua said the prosecution had put a strong case for them to take a defense position.

How Okoth Obado defended himself against murder charges

During the hearing, Obado had vehemently denied the charges, saying he had no intention of killing Sharon.

His defense lawyer, Kioko Kilukumi, claimed that the case was based on environmental evidence, concluding that Sharon’s killers were other people other than Obado.

The defense indicated that Obado voluntarily volunteered Sharon during her pregnancy despite her realization that she might have other lovers.
