Ndindi Nyoro tells William Ruto to stop borrowing all the way: “It’s a burden”

Speaking at Ihura Stadium on Thursday, April 24, Nyoro called for the administration of Ruto Reduced borrowing in protest that more loans can affect the country’s economy.

According to the young MP for the Kiharu, the government is supposed to use the property that contains shares, such as Safaricominstead of excessive borrowing from foreign organizations.

“Kenya must be very careful in the management of our debt, let us not want it, that is a serious threat we face as an economy. I believe there is a better way to manage our public resources instead of borrowing the money we borrow,” Nyoro said.

Nyoro said with good plans, the government has enough resources to develop the country without relying on foreign debts.

For example, Nyoro said the government could choose to sell some of its shares in Safaricom but still have an influence on the telecommunications company.

“Government assets are available to make money from the government. They are not like jewelery. Government shares, for example, in Safaricom are more than KSh 300 billion. The government can earn money we borrow out by selling only a Safaricom part as an institution,” He argued.

Nyoro warned about the negative impact of the Ruto administration does not seek alternative ways to increase revenue.

“So, let’s look at other ways to find resources abroad. Because if we continue with this very dangerous policy, those who carry the burden will be future generations. If we carry the burden it will be a problem. he added.

How many young people benefited from the Nyoro program

Nyoro was speaking during the Graduation of the Graduate Program that enabled 1,150 youth and young people to gain various skills through short courses sponsored by Kiharu NG – CDF.

The MP mentioned 535 graduates specializing in hospitality and beauty courses, with more than 615 participants receiving driver courses, including a smart card driver’s license.

He revealed that some have already found jobs, and some have started business from the skills they have gained.

John Mbadi answered Ndindi Nyoro

Meanwhile, Secretary of the National Treasury Cabinet John Mbadi He criticized Nyoro, who is the former Chairman of the Budget and Expenditure Committee, about his views on the status of Kenya’s debt.

During a recent economic talks at the Public Finance Institute, Nyoro noted the flaws in how Kenya handles its current debt.

However, the Treasury Minister dismissed the Nyoro warning, saying that Kenya has enough time to repay the debt, as much of them will be mature 2032.
