How did Daniel Kangongo die?
Kangogo, a member of the President’s Security Unit (Prescot), collapsed and died on Tuesday afternoon, April 22, as he was about to get into a four -wheeled car.
It is said that he had his colleagues during the incident where he suddenly lost consciousness. Despite being rushed to Karen Hospital on time, he was announced that he had died when he arrived.
The cause of the sudden death of Kangogo is still unknown, with the investigation of the corpse waiting to identify. His body has been taken to the corpse for further examination.
As part of the Prescot, Kangogo was responsible for the protection of the President William Ruto and his closest family.
His colleagues, who were with him during the assignment, expressed shock at his unexpected death.
A female police officer is found dead in Kiambu
Kangogo’s death comes after another tragedy within the police service, with the law enforcement community facing a series of unexpected losses.
A couple of weeks earlier, Assistant Police Assistant (ASP) Susan Mangiso Sariooyo, who had taken a vacation from his post in the sub -county Kasaranihe was found dead in his property in the Jacaranda Court area in Juja.
His body was discovered inside a chicken yard under incomprehensible conditions.
According to Witness Vincent Mathenge, a great scream from the Mangiso Boma pushed him to flee, where he found the officer without responding.
Police responded to the call and began an investigation to determine the incidents that led to his death. His body was transferred to the mortuary of the training, referral and research hospital of Kenyatta University to await a corpse.
His colleagues remembered Mangiso as a tough and hardworking officer known for his dedication to his work without compromising.
His passing reflects a different story from October 2024, in which Pauline Adenyo, a police officer at the Union Police Station in Machakos County, collapsed and died at home after reportedly receiving epilepsy.

Her husband, Evans Odongo, told the station immediately, which led to emergency services to rush her to an administrative hospital, where she was announced that she had died when she arrived.
Adenyo’s body was later moved to Chiromo’s mortuary for storage.
His brother, Harrison Adenyo, remembered emotionally when he received a phone call from their mother asking him to meet in the center of Nairobi before heading to Reale Hospital, where they found his sister lying still, as if he would wake up at any time.
Shortly thereafter, a car carrying a corpse got into the barn as the magicians put his remains in a white bag and transported him to the mortuary.
