Police in Ndhiwa sub -county, Homa Bay County, have increased their efforts following the brutal killings of two men last week near Kobodo’s business center in the Kanyamwa Kiology ward.

Six suspects have been arrested in connection with the killing of Bob Ochieng, a local butcher, and Kevin Odero, a driver, who were mistakenly identified as livestock thieves and a group of people.
The arrests come as police continue to investigate the circumstances of these sad deaths.
Ndhiwa Sub -County Police Commander John Losia confirmed the arrests, revealing that five suspects were arrested on Monday, April 20, and the sixth was arrested the following morning.
The six suspects are currently being held at Ndhiwa police station while the investigation is underway.
“We consider this to be very serious. The two men lost their lives in a very sad event, and we will not rest until everyone involved is brought to court,” Losia said.

He has also assured the public that the suspects will be brought to court soon, where police will seek time to be detained to facilitate further investigation.
Losia also revealed that more people were sought for the killings.
“Our officials are following reliable guidelines, and we are confident that additional arrests will be done soon,” he added.
The murder incident has sparked a major role in the community, while allegedly the two people were innocent and were not involved in any livestock theft.
Their deaths have left their family and friends sad, demanding justice and accountability.
MCA Of the North Kabuoch ward, Boaz Kiri, praised the local security team’s immediate action and called on the police to speed up the investigation.
“We commend the efforts of our local police in arresting these. However, justice must be given quickly so that the mourning families can be closed,” Kiri said.

Pastor’s car will be burned after he was thought to be a thief in Homa Bay
In a case related to the previously reported by TUKO.co.ke, a priest in Homa Bay County was attacked and his car was burned after he was thought to be a livestock thief.
The incident took place on Monday evening, April 14, in Jwelu Village, Kamumu suburb, Sub -County in Rachuonyo East. The attack was fueled by allegations related to the ongoing crisis of livestock theft in the area, which often involved small vehicles.
Residents questioned when they saw a car parked in a separated area, which was assumed that the vehicle was linked to livestock theft.
The man, who was later identified as a local pastor, tried to escape when they were confronted, which increased the doubts of the crowd.
