Kemunto died of injuries allegedly caused by a longtime partner after a severe controversy.
The young woman was in a relationship to stay with 27 -year -old Oscar Oundo, and they lived in the same house while raising a two -year -old boy together.
However, behind the closed doors of their common home, it is said that the relationship had been disturbed for several months, damaged by doubts, jealousy, and mistrust.
According to close family members, the dispute reached a large extent on Thursday evening, April 18, after Oundo accused Kemunto of dishonesty.
It is said that he had found his WhatsApp messages and, when he read them, was convinced that he was involved with another man.
What followed was a severe confrontation that, according to the family, left Kemunto with serious injuries.
“On Thursday last week, they fought and was seriously injured,” added another relative.

How did Kemunto die
Despite the seriousness of his injuries, Kemunto was able to arrive at the Soweto police station to report the attack.

His health deteriorated for the following hours, and he came to his brother and explained his condition. It is said that the brother faced Oundo and asked him to take Kemunto to the hospital.

Oundo was arrested shortly after Kemunto’s death, and is currently detained at Soweto Police Station, which he had previously sought help.
The family is now calling on the Criminal Investigation Department (DCI), human rights organizations, and the government to address the case and ensure justice is done.
“We have no power, and we have nowhere to find an attorney who can come to help us, we have no other countries, the police DCI They have all entered even where he died, they have entered the intervention and are trying to help, ” Said the deceased’s brother.
Kemunto’s body is currently in the city’s mortuary pending a corpse, which the family hopes to define the complete cause of death and strengthen their case.
