The voice and confident MP has fueled the growing rumor that he may be preparing to oppose the old guard and rise to a wave of young people into the White House.

In an interview on Hot 96 on Monday, April 21, Babu revealed that he was in contact with fellow MP, Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro, while setting himself up as part of a new wave of leadership preparing to take the country forward.

“The time is now, and the time for youth leadership is now,” Babu said. “I am interested – there may be a presidential interest, there may be a governor’s intention, depending on how we will agree with Ndindi.”

Grandpa praised Ndindi, referring to him as the best artist like him, and pointed out the possibility of a union between the two young MPs.

Why does Grandpa Owino want to be president?

According to the grandfather, the current administration has failed to meet expectations, creating what he sees as many “positions” of leadership at all levels of governance.

“I wanted to be a national leader, that’s why I was a student leader,” he said. “Leading students meant to unite all the tribes in Kenya without exception. Because of the good work I did at the university, the Embakasi East people saw the power in me and hunting me.”

Grandpa added that he is getting inspiration from revolutionary leaders around the world who came to power at an early age.

Can Babu Owino defeat Ruto 2027?

Addressing believers at the NPN the Legacy Church in Westlands on April 18, Babu expressed the belief that he was the only politician who could defeat Ruto, even suggested that he could do so easily shortly before the election.

Due to his history of growth in poverty, he said his willingness to lead is influenced by the need to lift ordinary Kenyans.

The MP also called on the youth, especially Gen Z and Millennium, to actively participate in the 2027 elections not only by voting, but also contesting for election positions.
