How did Silas Apollo die?
According to previous police reports, he was hit by a motorcycle as he tried to cross a busy road.
However, it was not until Saturday, April 12, when his family received information about his death.
His brother, who was worried because of his unusual silence, phoned Apollo and was surprised when he was welcomed by a woman at Kiambu police station.
The officer informed the caller that Apollo was seriously injured in a road accident earlier that week, and for Luck Worse, he died of injuries he suffered.
The statement left his family with great shock and sadness, especially considering they had not been informed in advance.
Confective reports were initially spread about the exact scene of the incident, but police now believe that Apollo was crossing the road when he was hit by a motorcycle that allegedly was running at high speed.
The injured reporter was rushed to St. Teresa and later transferred to Kiambu Level 6 Hospital, where he was announced to death when he arrived.
His body was taken to a mortuary pending the investigation and formal diagnosis.
The delay in Apollo's recognition is associated with the fact that he did not have any identity documents during the accident.
Police have now launched an investigation into the incident, including efforts to find a motorcycle driver that hit him.
