What were George Oduor's last words for Raila?

The funeral on Saturday, April 12 was attended by senior political leaders led by the President William RutoGovernors and MPs.

City attorney Silas Jakakimba, a close friend of the deceased, described a brief history of their friendship and his last minutes.

“Around 2003, there was an event where Raila was giving a public speech. I was a law student and I attended a lecture.

Oduor also helped Jakakimba meet Raila, and they worked together.

“We accompanied when visiting our in -laws.”

Regarding Oduor's disease, Jakakimba said that many people phoned him to ask if he was involved in an accident.

However, Jakakimba insisted that Oduor was not in an accident, and Raila often set aside time to visit her at the hospital.

“He was worried for the past three weeks. Thank you, Raila, for coming to him regularly and informing him of the situation despite being busy.”

Jakakimba said that Raila's visits had a major impact on the sick Oduor.

“When you came the second time, when he was in the ICU, he opened his eyes for the first time within four days. The last word he uttered was Erokamano (thank you).”

The lawyer noted that Oduor confidently faced his illness.

“He was admitted to the ICU, sent to Dhu for nine days and returned to the ICU.”

Jakakimba noted that Oduor's death had a profound effect on Raila.

“Raila instructed me to take care of the funeral arrangements and did not want the committee.

I know he still denies Oduor's death and is still sad. “

Where was George Oduor trained?

George Oduor's journey as Raila Odinga's trusted defender began a long time before he was officially appointed in 1995.

His trust in the opposition led to several contests by officials, including a long stay in the Committee Prison.

Following Jaramogi's death, Oduor emerged calmly and dedicated to the movement of the deceased's body from Nairobi to Bondo.
