President William Ruto has ramped up pressure on the contractors working on the Talanta Stadium following a recent site visit.
The 60,000-seater stadium, which is currently under construction, continues to take shape as it gears up to host matches during the highly anticipated 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Kenya will co-host the tournament alongside Uganda and Tanzania.
Talanta Stadium is set to serve as Kenya’s main venue for the continental football showpiece. Meanwhile, the Kasarani and Nyayo stadiums, both undergoing renovations, with the latter standing ready, are expected to play a supporting role after hosting the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN).
