Why did Butere Girls's daughters refuse to play the 'Echoes of War' game
On Thursday, April 10, members of the public cheered to support Butere Girls students when they left the drama festival without playing their controversial game.
In a video that TUKO.co.ke looked at it, Kenyans were heard singing songs against the President William Ruto As they escorted the students out of the hall.
Some announced that there would be no drama festival without Butere Girls.
“'No Butere, No Drama..Ruto Must Go” Kenyans sang as Butere Girls students leaving the hall in despair.
At one point, the police raised tears to Butere Girls and the public marching in Nakuru.
Butere Girls' desire to act on the controversial drama at the 63rd National Drama Festival was interrupted after being deprived of the public address.

Instead of acting, the students sang their national anthem as they broke down and left the platform.
The students were sad that they were practicing and did not see their director, Cleophas Malala.
