According to the ministry, Malala's measures violated the rules of the National Drama and Film Festival in Kenya.

Education Minister Julius Ogamba, in a statement seen by TUKO.co.ke on Thursday, April 10, explained that the controversial game raised concerns of control and ethics after being drafted at the regional level.

The Ministry maintained that only registered teachers or authorized lecturers are allowed to train or direct students to school curriculum activities.

“The rules and regulations of the National Drama and Film Festival in Kenya do not allow a non -teacher to lead a drama at school,” it read the statement, quoting section 9.0 note C, which notes that trainers must be registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).

The minister also noted that Malala's attempt forcing Kirobon Girls, where Butere Girls students had been returned to perform, was against the policy.

“By allowing Mr Malala to lead the game, the school violated the rules,” Ogamba said.

The Ministry also warned school principals across the country against inviting non -teachers to deal with students during the curriculum cooperation, referring to the document TSC No. 14 of June 13, 2018, which prevents people who are not enrolled in administering or managing students.

In addition, the Ministry suggested Rule 19.2 of the National Drama Festival and School Films and Colleges of 2025, which states that any major changes to the bill can result in non -graduation.

Was the Echoes of War drama changed?

The drama, the Echoes of War, was reported to be replaced at the regional level to include more inflammatory content, causing the school's management board to remove it.

“When this drama was decided at the sub -county level, the judges advised the script reporter to cancel some of the offensive messages. Ogamba said.

Although the two Kakamega and Kisii courts later ordered the game to be presented at the national level, the ministry clarified that his previous resignation was in order.

Ogamba emphasized that curriculum activities should not be politically involved.

“We cannot allow people to use schoolchildren weapons against authority. Let the political war be fought by politicians outside the learning environment,” Ogamba said.
