Nakuru – former Kakamega Senator, Cleophas Malala, has now gained independence after sitting in police hands for several hours.
In a statement released on Thursday, April 10, Alfred Makotsi, a former Assistant Secretary -General of the Party UDAconfirmed his release.
Makotsi, who had previously revealed that Malala was being barred from Eldama Ravine, said he was released unconditionally.
He expressed his gratitude to Kenyans for their efforts that helped to ensure that the prominent politician was released.
“Thank you Kenyans! Sen Cleo Malala has been released. No charges were filed against him,“He said.
