On Monday, April 7, Gathoni Wamumba attended the alleged call from the Criminal Investigation Department (DCI) on suspicion of preparing residents to sing protests against the President William Ruto.
Speaking outside the Kiambu County Police Headquarters, Wamumba claimed that his bodyguard had been evacuated.
The prominent MP wanted to be reinstated immediately, emphasizing that he had a constitutional right to be protected by the government.
The Githunguri MP emphasized that if anything happens then the blame is the first Kenyan government.

Wamomba revealed that the officers told him that the person he called would work at Kiambu Police Headquarters.

Gathoni's cause to be called by DCI
As previously reported, DCI allegedly called on him on suspicion of raising a crowd during President Ruto's visit to Mount Kenya on Friday, April 4.
The MP, who is relying on the side of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, announced through X network that he was called because of Githunguri residents to oppose promises not implemented by design projects.
