On Monday, April 7, the former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua He gave sad news through his social networking page.
In his message, Gachagua recalled the period when Teyiaa served in the 12th Assembly as a women's representative of Kajiado County.
“I am shocked to be informed about the death of Mr. Janet Marania Teyiaa. Gachagua said.
Gachagua remembered how Teyiaa, when she was a young girl, was rescued by a social worker because of her childhood disability.
“Janet, when she was a young girl, was rescued by a social worker due to her early childhood disability. She was a real example of patience and a great spirit, suggesting that nothing could stop the interested person from achieving her dreams, especially those who have various disabilities,” he added.
Gachagua said Teyiaa's contribution to Kajiado County, especially in defending people living with disabilities, would be greatly remembered.
