A family in the village of Kamirithu, Limuru, Kiambu County, has drowned in deep sadness as it prepares to bury their seven loved ones who died in a road accident.

A fatal accident happened on Sunday, March 30, near High Peak school, on the Mai Mahiu -Naivasha highway.
Among the deceased were three brothers: Francis Muturi (42 years), Peter Kirubi (41 years), and George Ngugi (25 years).
Muturi's three children also lost their lives in the tragic accident: Fidelis Waithera (15 years), Catherine Wanjiru (13 years), and Vitalis James Kirubi (7 years).
In addition, the son of their farm worker, Limwell Munyaka, who is his son Hannah Wanjiku, also died.

His wife Francis Muturi was hospitalized
Felista Njeri lost her husband, Muturi, and their three children in the crash, leaving her completely frustrated.
It is reported that he was hospitalized after he was in shock when he heard about the tragedy of his family.
According to a Citizen TV report, family family Lawrence Thuo confirmed that Njeri became ill after receiving the information.
“Muturi's wife became ill this morning, and we took her to Limuru. As we planned to return home, she had another health problem,” Said Thuo.
Why is the home worker's child buried first?
Hannah Wanjiku explained that his son would be buried first to give the family a chance to lose six people to rest their loved ones.
“We agreed with this because the family has a heavy burden on me,” He said.
The family requested government support
The bereaved family has called on the government to help them financially, especially in the purchase of coffins and the cost of transporting bodies from Mochari.
