Ruto sets Mount Kenya with a roar, says he remembers the work they did for him: “I'm not mad to forget”

Addressing the Nyeri meeting, Ruto recalled the great support he received from the area during the 2022 general election.

“Listen, the people of Nyeri. You gave me your votes at your own discretion, and those votes helped to form this government. Do you think I am so stupid that you forget the faith you have set for me?” Ruto kept the pool.

The president emphasized that he personally oversees the development of the area to ensure that important projects are implemented as promised.

“In this government the first person to be asked for the things of this region is me, because you respect me by your votes I will make sure your roads are built, electricity is connected, water is provided, markets are built and your children are getting education, the respect you have given me must return it,” He promised.

In what appeared to be a secret response to his former deputy Rigathi Gachagua Regarding allegations that he had set aside the area, Ruto warned residents against falling into divisive politics.

“I want to tell you that in Kenya, there will be no more politics of divisions, hatred, or isolation of other communities. We gather to take our nation forward,” He insisted.

In addition, the head of state assured Nyeri residents that his administration was left with close ties to the area and continued, he would visit the area regularly.

“There is still a lot to do-the road, hospitals, electricity, water and markets. With all these jobs, you have given me the ability to provide,” He insisted.

Ruto Development Agenda in Mount Kenya

During his visit to Nyeri, Ruto launched a number of projects aimed at improving infrastructure and living conditions in the county. He announced a Last Mile connection program worth Ksh 850 million, which is expected to connect 10,000 households.

In addition, he launched a new one -storey and 12 classroom building at Narumoru Township primary school and evaluated the ongoing development of the Narumoru market, which is expected to be completed within one month.

In Laikipia County, the President laid the foundation for the construction of 10 new classrooms at the primary school Nanyuki Deb and youth high school. He also inspected the modern Nanyuki market of KSh 350 million and visited Nanyuki's affordable housing project.

Additionally, Ruto pointed to another phase of the Last Mile integration program in Ng'arachi, promising KSh 1.12 billion investment to connect more than 9,000 households in Laikipia.

To support local education and economic activities, he also handed over to the school bus to Dr. Wachira Secondary School in Kiamariga and submitted car washing machines to boda boda staff in the county.

Mutahi Kahiga welcomes Ruto with joy Nyeri

Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga, a close ally of former deputy president Gachagua, welcomed Ruto in Kieni, and praised his allocation of more than KSh 850 million for local projects.

He noted that the region has long been plagued by poor development and requires immediate investment. Kahiga highlighted the challenges of funding in road construction and congratulated Ruto for upgrading Nomomoru Hospital.

Confirming his support for Ruto, Kahiga dismissed allegations that the president was not accepted by Nyeri. He wanted her to visit regularly and continue to implement development projects.
