During a round table interview with the media on Monday, March 31, the President Ruto He revealed that Muturi had never felt good with his appointment as a lawyer.

Ruto said that he persuaded the former Speaker of the National Assembly to accept the work despite the allegations he had.

“When I appointed my friend JB Muturi to be Attorney General Kenya, he himself came to me and explained that he had left the law for a long time and he was overwhelmed by the job. Ruto said.

Did Justin Muturi cancel the cabinet sessions?

The president explained that after Muturi was overwhelmed by the responsibilities of the Attorney General, he decided to appoint him as a minister of public service.

However, as Minister of Public Service, Muturi allegedly started making many excuses for not attending regular cabinet sessions.

According to Ruto, the former minister of public services withdrew himself from work after failing to fulfill his duties as a government official.

“Then I decided to change him and appoint him as Minister of Public Service, hoping he would get used to the job, but instead he started making excuses for not attending work. Let me ask them, if someone runs away from work, is I who dismissed or deleted himself? The president said.

However, the National Leader said Muturi would not suffer much after being dismissed, as he has a good pension for serving as Speaker of the National Assembly.

Why did Muturi not attend the cabinet sessions

As previously reported, Muturi publicly explained the reasons for the cancellation of several cabinet sessions.

Speaking on Citizen TV, the former Speaker of the National Assembly acknowledged that he would not attend the Cabinet sessions until the kidnapping issues were dealt with by the government Kenya first.

Muturi emphasized that the issue should be discussed as an agenda in cabinet sessions before attending.

The former public service minister wondered why Ruto did not want to discuss the issue of kidnapping at the cabinet level.

Muturi clashed with the Kenyan government first following the kidnapping of his son, Leslie Muturi, filled with controversy.
