Floods are coming, the weather forecast department warns about heavy rainfall in 31 counties

In his advice to the public, the weather expert explained that more than 20 mm rainfall would show parts of the Lake Victoria valley, the Rift Valley, and the highlands in the West and East of the Rift Valley, including the Nairobi and Plains South East, starting March 9.

Rain later would increase to more than 30 mm on March 10 and spread to the northwestern part of Kenya; Power, however, will begin to decline on March 11.

Which counties will be affected by heavy rainfall?

A total of 31 counties will witness the predicted climate change.

They are Narok, Kericho, Bomet, Homabay, Siaya, Migori, Busia, KisumuKisii, Nyamira, Nandi, Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, Baringo, Nakuru, Trans-Nzoia, Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo-Marakwet, West-Pokot, Turkana, Marsari, Nyega, La Kindau, Factory Murang'a, Kiambu, Nairobi, Machakos, and Kajiado.

The weather expert warned residents in areas mentioned to prepare for disasters such as floods and floods.
