Why did Mary's father warn him against marrying Chebikati
At that time Chebikati was running his own Wanyonyi and Advocates Company and explained how people were confused that when they got married he took the Hubby Hubby name.
“Many think the people are someone else, so I am married to the same man. They are not different people. Chebikati emerged 2017,” he added.
Mary remembered how during their premarital counseling sessions, her priest wanted to try her commitment.
“My pastor wanted to make sure I was in the right hands. My pastor was Bunyore and he was a Bukusu. And you know the Bukusus are like Muslims, they can have more than one wives. My father had warned me and continued to ask me if I was sure I wanted to go to Bukusu and if I was ready for fellowship,” He said more.
According to Mary, her father raised them in a house with many wives and was married to the family of many wives which left her worried.
“The man lying here assured my pasta that Bukusu culture would not play a role in our marriage and it was certainly not,” added more.
