Uasin Gishu: Jonathan Bii announces the promotion of 1,423 county workers

This is a historic promotion in Uasin Gishu County since 2016.

The governor made this historic announcement during a retired ceremony held at the county headquarters on Thursday, February 27, in which 79 retired employees were rewarded.

The event was also attended by Deputy Governor Evans Kapkea, who emphasized the commitment to the administration of staff well -being and labor development.

The governor admitted that many workers had been stuck in the same work groups for over 15 years.

He also pointed out that this deterioration has been largely attributed to the selective and non -promotional behaviors that undermine the enthusiasm and productivity of workers.

In line to correct these earlier differences, Bii emphasized that the promotional exercise is in line with the commitment of his administration in the development of workers and creates a working environment where diligence and commitment are regularly recognized and promoted.

He reiterated that his administration aims to create a fair and transparent work environment, ensuring that all employees have equal opportunities for growth and development.

The governor expressed the belief that the plan would not only restore equality but would also promote enthusiasm and increase productivity within the county staff.

Chelilim also revealed that his administration plans to allocate more resources in the next financial year to support the promotion of more county staff.

PSC warns against hackers promising jobs, promoted

In a statement related to it, the Public Service Commission (PSC) cautioned Kenyans against fraudsters who pretend to be PSC officials and to summon money to give them government jobs, to be promoted and to be listed.

PSC chairman Anthony Muchiri highlighted the growing concerns about reports of individuals pretending to be PSC staff and misleading them.

Kenyans for false promises to list work opportunities, employment and promotion to be paid bribes.

The commission urged the public to report any objections to the relevant or direct authority to the PSC using their formal communication channels.
