“We call on the Ugandan authorities to respect the Supreme Court's decision and to immediately release Kizza Besigye, Haji Obeid Lutale, Advocate Eron Kiiza and others who were illegally detained. We want them to take immediate action to prevent any serious consequences for Kizza Besigye, Hajj Obeid Lutale, Advocate Eron Kiiza and all others who are detained, ” Amnesty International's representative said.

“Yes, only one doctor has been banned, but this can happen to any specialist. We must come out vigorously, we ask the doctors and all trade unions for the time to talk and end the violation of this law is now,” KPMDU general secretary Davji Atellah said.
