This comes as competition for satellite internet in the country increases, forcing local internet service providers (ISPs) to seek regulatory intervention.

Major internet service providers, including Safaricom and Jamii Telecommunications Limited (JTL), have raised concerns about Starlink's pricing structure.

According to Business Daily, the Competition Authority of Kenya (CAK) dismissed requests from JTL regarding Starlink's pricing model, saying that the company's stake (0.5%) did not warrant action.
