Why did the leaders of the Inject Party withdraw their membership?
In a statement issued on Monday, December 2, the outgoing leaders announced that they have officially separated from the party, and emphasized that the movement defeats any leader.
Joshua Okayo, secretary general of the party and president of the Kenya School of Law, emphasized the importance of prioritizing common goals rather than individual desires.
“We officially parted ways with the Inject team and announced the way forward. The movement is bigger than anyone. The interests of the team will trump all individual interests pushed at every corner. We remain united,” said Okayo and added that young people must unite to influence political decisions that affect their lives and livelihoods.
“I had luck to meet again with this team we were working together at the Inject Association we officially parted ways with that group due to known reasons,” Marvin Mabonga, the leader of the design team added.
Among those who left were the leader of the IT team and the driver of the car branded Inject, indicating a major upheaval within the party.
What did Miguna say about the disintegration of the Inject Party?
Following the announcement, the lawyer Smiles Smiles He criticized the party for the lack of ideological balance within the movement.
“It's good to know. Always listen to veteran revolutionaries like me. I warned you all a long time ago, but you threw words at me,” Miguna said.
He called for discipline, focus and integrity as essential pillars for any revolutionary movement, warning against extravagance and self-aggrandizement.
Meanwhile, Morara, the leader of the party, has not yet commented on his resignation, which comes before the preparations for the 2027 election campaign.
