“Reduce Taxes, Repair Roads If I Was The Problem,” Gachagua Tells Ruto

Kajiado – Former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua he has continued to pressure the government to face the challenges facing Kenyans following his removal from power.

Why is Rigathi Gachagua happy after being removed from power?

Speaking during the celebration of 100 years of missionary services in the PCEA Kerarapon Church, Kajiado North, Rigathi Gachagua said that he is now at peace because no one blames him for the challenges facing the country.

Comparing his current situation to that of the retired President Uhuru Kenyattasaid that now he is watching things progress without pressure, saying,

“I am not stressed. I am very relaxed because no one blames me for Kenya's problems. Let others carry the burden.”

Gachagua also challenged the President's government William Ruto addressing issues such as blocked roads, taxes, and economic problems, stressing that if he was the source of those problems, then now is the time to solve them.

“If I was the reason why taxes are high, why should they not be reduced now? And if I was the one who prevented them from being built, why should they not be completed now?” he questioned.

He stressed the importance of respecting ordinary citizens and reprimanding leaders who despise Kenyans.

Instead of inciting his followers to destroy property, he encouraged them to express their feelings peacefully through songs and dances.

Sakaja calls for patience with Ruto's administration

On the other hand, the Governor of Nairobi Johnson he asked Kenyans to give President William Ruto time to fulfill his manifesto.

He said that many of the previous big projects, like heritage roads, were built in the last years of the administration of the previous presidents.

he said,

“Kenyans should understand that even heritage roads were built in the last years of leadership. Give the President time to implement his promises.”
